Concurso de arte para niños en Athens El Centro de Estudios Latinoamericanos y del Caribe de la Universidad de Georgia (CLACS por sus siglas en inglés) realizó un concurso de arte para jóvenes en Athens. El sábado, 29 de abril y en la casa que alberga las oficinas de CLACS en el campus de UGA, los participantes tuvieron la oportunidad de exponer sus obras de arte a los visitantes. Poco después, se llevó a cabo la entrega de premios para los ganadores. En el concurso hubo varios participantes de origen hispano, quienes reflejaron en sus obras las diferentes culturas de sus países de origen o la de sus padres. El concurso, el cual se tiene planeado realizar cada año y con el apoyo de las escuelas locales, fue organizado por las estudiantes hispanas de UGA y pasantes de CLACS Marisol López, Coraly Pegán y Giovanna Ayesta, con la supervisión de Paul Duncan, coordinador de programas de CLACS. On Saturday, April 29 and at the house where the CLACS office is located on the UGA campus, the participants had a chance to expose their work to visitors. Soon after, the winners received awards. In the contest, there were several participants of Hispanic origin, who reflected in their work the different cultures from their home countries of those of their parents. The contest, which is planned to take place every year and with the support of the local schools, was organized by Hispanic UGA students and CLACS interns Marisol Lopez, Coraly Pegán, and Giovanna Ayesta, with the supervision of Paul Duncan, program coordinator at CLACS.
