Centro de educacion profesional en Gainesville

Muchas personas vienen a Estados Unidos para mejorar sus vidas y las de sus seres queridos. El sólo hecho de llegar a tierras estadounidenses es motivo de alegría pero qué pasa luego, a qué aspiran estas personas. Algunos consiguen trabajo donde pueden y realizan varios trabajos en diferentes ciudades, sin tener una meta específica, sólo cobrar algo para poder sobrevivir. Otras personas son más ambiciosas y deciden cursar estudios para obtener un diploma que los acredite como profesionales en una carrera. Pero antes de poder cursar estudios en una institución de educación superior es necesario saber hablar inglés.

Muchos extranjeros, trabajan durante el día y asisten a cursos de inglés por la noche o en su tiempo libre. Estas personas admiten la necesidad de aprender a hablar inglés para poder abrirse paso y avanzar en Estados Unidos.

Interactive College of Technology en Gainesville ofrece clases de inglés para todos los niveles y también cursos de tecnología. "La ventaja de estudiar aquí es que una vez finalizado los cursos de inglés, el estudiante puede continuar con nosotros y graduarse con una carrera profesional en tecnología", explica Marta González, coordinadora de Interactive College.

La oficina principal de Interactive College está en Chamblee, Condado Dekalb en Georgia y existen ocho centros de educación de Interactive College en Estados Unidos. Específicamente, hay tres centros en Georgia, ubicados en Gainesville, Morrow y Chamblee. "Llevamos cuatro años en Gainesville", dice González, quien también trabaja como enlace entre el centro de educación y la comunidad hispana. "Trabajamos con estudiantes que quieren terminar sus estudios y adultos que llevan varios años lejos de los estudios".

Interactive College en Gainesville trabaja muy de cerca con la comunidad hispana pero también ofrece servicios a otros estudiantes internacionales. En la actualidad cuentan con estudiantes de Etiopía y otros países.

Los estudiantes no sólo reciben cursos de inglés y clases para obtener una carrera pero también participan en actividades culturales, las cuales ayudan a que los estudiantes se involucren en la comunidad y estén actualizados en lo que sucede a su alrededor. "Queremos que los estudiantes reciban educación tanto dentro como fuera del salón de clase para que estén listos para trabajar en cualquier sitio", afirma González. "El mes pasado, Mario Delgado del Departamento de Agricultura de Estados Unidos, realizó una presentación para informar a los estudiantes sobre los servicios que su oficina presta a la comunidad hispana y otras minorías". También se realizan otros eventos como ferias de salud y del trabajo.

En su intento de prestar un mejor servicio a los estudiantes y de fomentar la educación superior entre ellos, Interactive College en Gainesville ofrece $500 de crédito por cada cuatro meses de clases de inglés que los estudiantes tomen para ser utilizados para pagar el estudio de una carrera.

Campus for Porfessional Education in Gainesville

Many people come to the United States to improve their lives and the lives of their loved ones. The mere act of moving to the United States brings them happiness but, what happens later? What do these people aspire to? Some work wherever they can and look for jobs in various cities, without having a specific goal, only to make enough money to survive. Other people are more ambitious and they decide to study in order to obtain a diploma that certifies them a professional career. But before pursing higher education, it is necessary to know how to speak English.

Many foreigners, work during the day and attend English classes by night or in their free time. These people admit there necessity to learn English in order to get ahead in the United States.

Interactive College of Technology in Gainesville offers English classes for all levels and in technology courses as well. "The advantage of studying here is that once a student has completed the English courses, they can continue with us and graduate with a professional career in technology," explains Marta González, coordinator of Interactive College.

The main office of Interactive College is located in Chamblee, Dekalb County in Georgia and there are eight Interactive College campuses in the United States. Specifically, there are three campuses in Georgia, located in Gainesville, Morrow and Chamblee. "We have been in Gainesville for four years," says González, who also works as a link between the center for education and the Hispanic community. "We work with students who want to finish their studies and adults who have not studied for many years."

Interactive College in Gainesville works very closely with the Hispanic community, but it also offers services to other international students. Currently, they have students from Ethiopia and other countries.

The students do not only receive English classes and courses to secure a professional career, but they also participate in cultural activities, which help students to get involved in the community and to be aware of what is going on around. "We want students to receive an education as much inside as outside the classroom so that they can be ready to work anywhere," affirms González. "Last month, Mario Delgado from the United States Department of Agricultural, gave a presentation to inform students about the services that his office provides to the Hispanic community and other minorities." They also hold other events such as health and job fairs.

In its attempt to offer the best service to the students and to promote higher education, Interactive College of Gainesville offers $500 in credit for each four months of English classes that students take, which could be used in order to pay for their studies.
