Georgia Child Support Information on Internet
Access to the Georgia Department of Human Resources Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE) programs and information is now available in Spanish through OCSE's Constituent Services Portal. The portal is an interactive Web site that allows users to apply for services and manage their cases. It also provides information about the programs and services available to parents who either pay or receive child support or need a case established. "The United States Census found that in the year 2000, Spanish was the primary language spoken in 426,115 homes in Georgia, and that number has certainly grown," says OCSE Director Robert Riddle. "We want all of the children in this state to benefit from the support of both their parents, so they can get a good start in life. This means that parents need ready access to our services - not only to establish and enforce a child support order and keep track of the payments, but also to apply for the Child Access and Visitation Program, the Fatherhood Program that helps low-income non-custodial parents, and other ways we assist in strengthening families."
To reach OCSE's Spanish language Constituent Services Portal, go to www.ocse.dhr.georgia.gov and click on "En español" (under "At Your Service" in the lower right corner of the page).
