Monday, October 18: Graduate Student Presentations of Summer Research carried out in Latin America/Caribbean during Summer 2004. Wednesday, October 20: CLACS Seminar: Elizabeth Oglesby, University of Arizona assistant professor of Latin American Studies and 2003-2004 Carnegie Council Fellow will present, "Political Violence and Teaching About the Past in Latin America: Guatemala's 'Memory of Silence' and the Limits of Peace Education." 12:30 p.m. at CLACS, 290 South Hull Street. Saturday, October 23: "Día de la Mujer Latina" (Latino Women's Day) at St. Joseph's Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Community health services for Latino women. Event sponsored by Día de la Mujer, Inc., American Cancer Society and Catholic Social Services. CLACS-sponsored Latin live music featuring Mexican band IMAGEN, to perform 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Latin American Film Festival: "Representing the Margins in Films from Latin America": Georgia Museum of Art, M.
