Comité Republicano del Condado Clarke

El número de votantes hispanos en Georgia está aumentando a niveles importantes. A medida que esta fuerza electoral crece, las necesidades de este grupo serán tomadas en cuenta por parte de todos los partidos políticos en Georgia. La manera como estos partidos partidos políticos atraigan a los votantes será importante, pero no sólo a los hispanos, sino también a todo el estado. Por su parte, los votantes hispanos necesitarán involucrarse más en el proceso político y hacer escuchar sus necesidades. Por diferentes razones, el Partido Republicano se encuentra en la mejor posición para representar a estos nuevos votantes hispanos y responder a sus necesidades a nivel nacional, estatal y local.

En términos generales, esto se debe a que los valores tradicionales de los hispanos corresponden muy de cerca con los valores tradicionales de los republicanos. Estos valores se centran en el reconocimiento de que familias unidas forman la base de una sociedad fuerte, que las libertades individuales son necesarias para asegurar una sociedad libre, y que la educación, el trabajo duro y la dependencia en uno mismo son las mejoras maneras de lograr una sociedad economicamente exitosa. Los republicanos trabajan duro para apoyar estos valores a través de una plataforma legislativa concentrándose en el apoyo familiar, menos participación del gobierno, menos impuestos y facilitando la labor de aquellos negocios que respeten la ley. A nivel local, el Comité Republicano del Condado de Clarke cree firmemente en el ÔSueño Americano'. Creemos que las promesas de libertad, justicia y la búsqueda de la prosperidad individual debería ser posible para todos los ciudadanos.

Para poder convertirse en buenos ciudadanos, los votantes hispanos necesitan estar informados e involucrados en el gobierno local. El Partido Republicano anima a esta participación y ha desarrollado una filosofía que debería llamar la atención de todos, sin importar su grupo étnico o nacionalidad. Exigimos y queremos calidad y seguridad en nuestras escuelas públicas. Exigimos y queremos responsabilidad fiscal por parte del gobierno local. Promovemos la extensión y ampliación de servicios básicos como agua, alcantarillado y estaciones de bomberos para todas las áreas del Condado de Clarke. Apoyamos la creación de un gobierno local más amigable hacia sus ciudados y negocios.

Está claro que los republicanos estamos deseosos y ansiosos de contactar a los votantes hispanos para tratar los temas mencionados antes. Esa fuerza no resultado de limosnas o trato preferencial por parte del gobierno a ningún nivel. Los individuos y las familias son lo que nos hace fuertes. Demuestra tu fuerza y únete al Partido Republicano para hacer de Georgia un mejor lugar donde vivir.

The number of Hispanic voters in Georgia is increasing at a dramatic rate. As its voting strength grows, the needs of this group will be addressed by each of the state's political parties. How the parties appeal to these new citizens will be important, though, not only to Hispanics but also to the state as a whole. For their part, Hispanic voters will need to become involved in the political process and make their wishes known. For a variety of reasons, we feel that the Republican Party is in the best position to represent these new Hispanic voters and respond to their needs at the national, state and local levels.

In a broad sense, this is because traditional Hispanic values correspond closely with traditional Republican values. These values are centered on the recognition that strong families form the basis of a strong society; that individual liberties are necessary to ensure a free society; and that education, hard work, and self-reliance are the best means of achieving an economically successful society. Republicans work to support these values through a legislative platform emphasizing support for families, less government, lower taxes, and easing the regulation of law-abiding businesses. Locally, the Clarke County Republican Committee firmly believes in the American Dream. We believe that the promises of freedom, liberty, justice, and the pursuit of individual prosperity should extend to all citizens equally.

In order to be good citizens, Hispanic voters will need to be informed and involved in local government. The Republican Party encourages this participation and has developed a philosophy that should appeal to everyone, regardless of ethnicity or national origin. We demand and expect quality and safety in our public schools. We demand and expect fiscal responsibility on the part of local government. We promote the extension of basic services, such as water lines, sewer lines, and fire stations, to all areas of Clarke County. We support the paving and maintenance of all public roads and streets throughout the county. We are working to create a more business and citizen friendly local government.

Needless to say, we Republicans are eager to hear from Hispanic voters on these matters. Our strength as a society comes from our willingness to take chances for our own success and to take responsibility for our own actions. That strength does not come from dependence on handouts or preferential treatment by government at any level. Individuals and families are what make us strong.
