Escuela de verano Estudiantes visitan Eco Latino y ABH por Enrique Carrión Un grupo de estudiantes de escuelas secundarias de Athens visitaron las instalaciones de Eco Latino y el periódico Athens Banner-Herald en el edificio News Building en el centro de Athens el martes, 15 de junio. El grupo de alrededor de 40 estudiantes, en su mayoría hispanos, son parte del programa de educación de verano "Steps to College" donde los participantes tienen la oportunidad de visitar y aprender más sobre programas de educación universitaria y diferentes trabajos y organizaciones. La lista de actividades para el 15 de junio también incluía visitar el almacen de distribución de Jiterry Joe's desde donde se distribuye café a Athens y sus alrededores. Durante su visita a las oficinas de Eco Latino y el ABH, los estudiantes aprendieron sobre el proceso de crear y distribuir los dos medios de comunicación. Visitaron el departamento de publicidad, mercadeo, fotografía, Internet y noticias. También presenciaron el proceso de imprenta de las publicaciones. El programa Steps to College se realiza cada año y busca educar e incentivar a estudiantes a seguir estudios universitarios.		Summer School Students Visited Eco Latino and ABH by Enrique Carrión A group of students of high schools in Athens visited the facilities of Eco Latino and the newspaper Athens Banner-Herald at the building 'News Building' on Tuesday, June 15 at downtown Athens. The group of approximately 40 students, most of them Hispanics, were part of the summer program of education 'Steps to College' where the participants have the opportunity to visit and learn more about university programs and different jobs and organizations. The list of activities for June 15 also included a visit to the distribution warehouse of Jittery Joe's coffee place from where it distributes coffee to Athens and surrounding areas. During the visit to Eco Latino's office and ABH, the students learned about the process of creating and distributing publications. They visited the departments of advertising, marketing, photography, Internet and news. They also witness the printing process.
