Plan de Transporte para Athens y alrededories

El plan de transporte 'Madison Athens-Clarke Oconee Regional Transportation Study (MACORTS por sus siglas en inglés), el cual incluye al Condado de Athens-Clarke, el sur del Condado de Madison y el norte del Condado de Oconee, está en proceso de actualizar el Plan de Transporte a Largo Plazo (LRTP por sus siglas en inglés). El LRTP es el documento que sirve de guía para obtener fondos federales para financiar proyectos de transporte en el área del MACORTS. El documento está listo para ser visto por los ciudados de los condados antes mencionados.

Ahora es el momento de dar a conocer sus necesidades de transporte y las de su comunidad. Déjenos saber qué le gustaría ver en el plan y/o en el documento. Los documentos están listos para ser revisados en las oficinas del Departamento de Planeamiento de los condados de Madison, Athens-Clarke y Oconee y en la página web de MACORTS en: www.athensclarkecounty.com /%7Eplanningdept/acorts/index.html

Comentarios y sugerencias serán aceptados en los Departamentos de Planeamiento de los condados de Madison, Athens-Clarke y Oconee, a través de correo electrónico, teléfono o en las tres reuniones abiertas al público (ver abajo). Estas reuniones tienen como meta reunir a los ciudadanos para que den su opinión sobre el nuevo plan de transporte.

Draft 2030 Long Range Transportation Plan

Madison Athens-Clarke Oconee Regional Transportation Study (MACORTS), the Metropolitan Planning Organization that includes all of Athens-Clarke County, the southern portion of Madison County, and the northern portion of Oconee County, is in the process of updating the Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP). The LRTP is the guiding document for federally funded transportation projects within the MACORTS area. The Draft LRTP is now ready for your review.

Now is the time to make your transportation issues known. Let us know what you would like to see in the Plan and/or what you like that you see in the Draft Plan. Documents are available for review at the Planning Department offices in Madison, Athens-Clarke, and Oconee Counties and on the MACORTS website at www.athensclarkecounty.com /%7Eplanningdept/acorts/index.html

Comments will be taken throughout the public comment period at the Madison County, Athens-Clarke County and Oconee County Planning Departments, by mail, e-mail, telephone, or at the 3 scheduled public meetings listed below. These meetings are for the purpose of gathering public comment concerning the 2030 Long Range Transportation Plan.

Athens-Clarke County
Monday, June 21; 5 - 7 pm
Location: Planning Dept. Auditorium at 120 W. Dougherty St. in Athens

Oconee County
Wednesday, June 30; 4 - 6 pm
Location: Government Annex Courtroom on SR 15/Greensboro Highway in Watkinsville

After June 7, your comments will be reviewed by both MACORTS committees and incorporated into the Final LRTP wherever possible.
