Feria de Desarrollo Comunitario

En un esfuerzo por crear una relación buena y duradera entre familias, escuelas y la comunidad, el Distrito Escolar del Condado Athens-Clarke, sus programas y oficinas, junto con el Hospital Athens Regional y otras organizaciones de la comunidad presentan la 'Feria de Desarrollo Comunitario para las Familias del Condado Clarke', el cual se llevará a cabo el sábado, 2 de abril de 1 a 5 de la trade en el edificio H.T. Edwards en el Atlanta Highway, detrás de Auto Zone.

Entre las organizaciones comunitarias que tomarán parte en la feria están: Family Connection, Communities in Schools, DFACS, biblioteca pública de Athens, OASIS Católico, Eco Latino, MALDEF y muchas más. Estas organizaciones tendrán mesas donde ofrecerán información a los visitantes sobre los servicios que ofrecen y cómo participar. Si necesita saber cómo obtener una tarjeta de identificación de la biblioteca, registrarse para tomar clases de inglés gratis o GED (equivalente a graduarse de la escuela secundaria), o dónde encontrar programas y actividades de verano para los jóvenes, venga a este evento. Durante la feria, se ofrecerán actividades para niños y cuidado infantil para los más pequeños. También se realizarán presentaciones de líderes comunitarios y los estudiantes realizarán actividades. Se ofrecerá transporte e intérpretes de español.

Community Development Fair

In an effort of creating a lasting relationship between families, schools and the community, the Clarke County School District Pathways to Success After-School Programs, Office of Early Learning and Family Engagement, Office of Applied Learning, and Office of Student Achievement and Educational Equity are hosting, along with Athens Regional Hospital and other community organizations, a Community Development Fair for Clarke County families on Saturday, April 2 from 1-5 p.m. at the H.T. Edwards building on Atlanta Highway behind Auto Zone.

There will be a variety of different organizations participating: Family Connection, Communities in Schools, DFACS, Athens Regional Library, OASIS, Eco Latino, MALDEF, and many more. These groups will have booths set up to offer families information on what services they offer and how to participate. If you are wondering how to get a library card, how to register for free GED or ESOL classes, or where to go to find safe summer programs for your child, please come to this event. Athens Regional Medical Center will be giving free health screenings. Childcare and teen activities will be provided. Special community speakers and student performances will also take place throughout the fair. Transportation and Spanish interpreters will also be available.
