Feria hispana del trabajo

La Feria Hispana del Trabajo del Condado de Hall se llevó a cabo el jueves 9 de octubre en el Centro de Convenciones Georgia Mountains en la ciudad de Gainesville. Varias compañías, organizaciones sin fines de lucro y departamentos y agencias del gobierno local se reunieron para informar a la comunidad hispana y contratar a empleados bilingües, tan importantes actualmente.

Entre los diferentes grupos presentes estaban el Departamento de Trabajo de Georgia, Regions Bank, Coca-Cola, BB&T Bank, Crystal Spring Water, Cingular, Departamento de Recursos Humanos de Gainesville, Servicios Sociales Católicos, Distrito de Salud Pública, Boys and Girls Club, proyecto de ayuda médica Right from the Start, Girl Scouts del Noreste de Georgia, Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Forsyth, Servicios Comunitarios del Condado de Hall, Community Bank and Trust, United Parcel Service, 1st Franklin Financial, Gobierno de Hall, AllTell y Foley Products.

Los visitantes tuvieron la oportunidad de dar sus curriculums, hablar cara a cara con personal de las diferentes instituciones y aprender más sobre cómo buscar un empleo y el proceso de contratación. También hubo talleres sobre cómo rellenar un formulario de empleo, cómo escribir un curriculum y cómo prepararse y vestirse para una entrevista.

Hispanic Job Fair

The Gainesville-Hall County Hispanic Job Fair took place on Thursday, October 9 at the Georgia Mountains Center in Gainesville. Several companies, non-profit organizations and local government departments and agencies met to reach out to the Hispanic community and to hire much-needed bilingual employees.

Among the different groups present were the Georgia Department of Labor, Regions Bank, Coca-Cola, BB&T Bank, Crystal Spring Water, Cingular, City of Gainesville Human Resources Department, Catholic Social Services, Public Health District, Boys and Girls Club, Right from the Start Medicaid Outreach Project, Piedmont Migrant Education, Georgia Legal Services, Hall County Public Library, Girl Scouts of Northeast Georgia, Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, Gainesville-Hall County Community Service, Community Bank and Trust, United Parcel Service, 1st Franklin Financial, Hall County Government, AllTell, and Foley Products.

People had a chance to hand out resumes, talk face-to-face with personnel from the different employers and learn more about looking for a job and hiring processes. There were also workshops on how to fill out a job application, write a resume, prepare for an interview and dress for success.
