Pinturas de artista mexicano en Athens

José Anaya, un artista de Xalapa, México, recientemente presentó sus obras tituladas la Fiesta De Color en el Foundry Park Inn de Athens, Georgia. Una variedad de obras llenas de color y energía fueron presentadas desde el 16 de septiembre hasta el 9 de noviembre del 2003. Entre las piezas exhibidas habían varias pinturas al pastel y una más grande de pintura al óleo sobre Masonite. Las obras estaban a la venta y varias se vendieron por valor de entre 425 y 750 dólares.

José Anaya comenzó su carrera como artista en 1990. Ha realizado exposiciones de sus obras en varias ciudades de México y Estados Unidos. En el 2002, trajo sus obras a Athens por primera vez y la Fiesta De Color se convirtió en su segunda presentación en la Ciudad Clásica.

Sus pinturas al pastel son geniales. Anaya usa una variedad de formas y colores, con la expección del negro, para establecer modelos geométricos que crean ritmos. Las pinturas al pastel son pintadas con precisión, cada forma detalladamente alineada y llena de vivos colores y, aunque las pinturas están llenas de energía, los colores y las formas harmonizan entre ellas para crear un motivo interesante. La Noche y Horizon Límite son dos de los títulos de su colección de sus vibrantes obras de arte.

En contraste con sus pinturas al pastel, la pintura al óleo, titulada Volvan, es más abstracta, formada de pocos colores, incluyendo el negro, y evitando el uso de formas, imáganes o diseños definidos. Anaya usa más formas y estilo libre en esta obra, creada con grandes pinzeladas con un patrón sin definir.

Paintings of a Mexican Artist in Athens

Jose Anaya, an artist from Xalapa, Mexico, recently brought the Fiesta De Color to The Spa at Foundry Park Inn in Athens, Georgia. A variety of his multicolored, vibrant works of art were on exhibit from September 16th to November 9th, 2003. Amongst the pieces displayed were numerous oil pastels as well as one large oil paint on Masonite. The pieces were available for purchase and many of them sold for between $425 and $750.

Jose Anaya began his career as an artist in 1990. He has exhibited his art in various cities in Mexico and the United States. In 2002, he brought his work to Athens for the first time and the Fiesta De Color marked his second exhibition in the Classic City.

His oil pastels are brilliant. Anaya uses a variety of shapes and a wide range of colors, with the exception of black, to establish a geometric pattern that creates a rhythm. The oil pastels are precisely drawn, each shape neatly outlined and filled in with a bright color, and while the pieces are energetic, the colors and shapes harmonize with one another to create an attractive motif. La Noche and Horizon Limite are two of the various titles given to these lively works of art.

In contrast to his oil pastels, his oil paint piece, titled Volcan, was more abstract, incorporating fewer colors, including black, and avoiding the use of defined shapes or images/designs. Anaya uses more of a free form in this work of art, created by large brush strokes with an indistinct pattern.
