Parque infantil para Athens

El parque infantil "World of Wonder" (WOW) es un proyecto construido por la comunidad y cubrirá más de un acre y medio. Además de ofrecer espacio para la diversión de niños de todas las edades, WOW incluirá una zona cerrada para bebés, una área de música y ciencias, murales, jardínes, esculturas y un escenario. WOW estará ubicado en el Southeast Clarke Park, en frente de Whit Davis Road. El parque fue diseñado por niños de las escuelas de Athens y será totalmente construido por voluntarios. 60 por ciento de las instalaciones podrán ser accedidas por niños con discapacidades. Costará aproximadamente $250.000. Donaciones cubrirán el costo de los materiales de construcción, jardinería, compra y alquiler de maquinaria. Puedes ayudar pasando la voz, haciendo una donación y convirtiendote en voluntario.

Athens' Own "World of Wonder"

The World of Wonder (WOW) is a community-built playground that will span more than one and a half acres. In addition to offering an extensive playscape for kids of all ages, WOW will include an enclosed area for toddlers, a music/science exploratory area, children's murals, gardens, sculptures, and a performance stage. It will be located in the Southeast Clarke Park, facing Whit Davis Road. World of Wonder was designed by Athens schoolchildren and will be built entirely by volunteers. 60 percent of the playscape will be accessible to children with disabilities. It will cost approximately $250,000. Funds will cover the costs of building materials, architectural fees, playground components, landscaping, surfacing materials, equipment purchase and rentals. You can help by spreading the word, giving a donation, and volunteering.
