El primer centro comunitario de salud MedLink de Georgia fue establecido en 1976 con el nombre de OconeeOglethorpe Centro de Salud y se creó con la ayuda del Programa de Iniciativa de Salud Rural. Actualmente, MedLink Georgia tiene centros de salud en los condados Barrow, Hall, Madison, Oglethorpe, Elbert, Hart, Franklin, Wilkes y Rabun.

Los centros prestan servicios todo el año y cuentan con personal certificado en diferentes áreas de salud como presión sanguínea, diabetes, colesterol, problemas del corazón, infecciones, inmunización, pruebas de laboratio, cuidado infantil y para mujeres, enfermedades de transmisión sexual y cómo prevenirlas, exámenes de drogadicción, visión y audición entre otros. También ofrecen educación y consejos en primeros auxilios e información sobre seguros médicos.

Todos los centros prestan diferentes servicios de salud pero cada comunidad tiene necesidades específicas y es por esto que los centros también ofrecen programas y servicios para cubrir estas necesidades.

La misión de los centros de salud de MedLink Georgia es proveer cuidados de salud de calidad y mejorar la salud de individuos y familias en las comunidades donde sirven.

Los centros cuentan con diferentes programas de pago, los cuales se ajustan a los ingresos de individuos o familias. También aceptan seguros médicos y otros tipos de pagos.

Los centros en las ciudades de Winder, Colbert, Lavonia, Gainesville, Clayton, Lexington y Bowman cuentan con intérpretes y personal para asistir a los pacientes hispanos.

The first MedLink health community center in Georgia was established in 1976, it was named OconeeOglethorpe Health Center and it was created with the help of the Rural Health initiative Program. Presently, MedLink Georgia has health centers in Barrow, Hall, Madison, Oglethorpe, Elbert, Hart, Franklin, Wilkes, and Rabun counties.

All centers offer service yearround and have certified personnel in different health areas such as blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, heart problems, infections, immunization, lab tests, child and women care, sexually transmitted diseases and their prevention, drug tests, and vision and hearing, among others. They also offer education and training in first aid and information on health insurance.

Every center offers different health services, but every community has different specific needs and that's why the centers offer programs and services to cover these needs. The mission of MedLink health centers is to provide quality health care and improve the health of individuals and families in the community where they serve.

Centers have different methods of payment, which accommodate individuals' and families' income. They also accept health insurance and other payments.

The centers at Winder, Colbert, Lavonia, Gainesville, Clayton, Lexington, and Bowman have interpreters and staff available to assist Hispanic patients.
